Frequently asked questions
How many toilets do you have?
Two toilets including one disabled toilet, between the Farmshop and the Wood Fired Oven Bakery. There are six more toilets available behind the shop. These are opened for events of over 70 guests (evening events only).
How long does a dinner take/ how long is it between courses?
This always varies from wedding to wedding, but we estimate, without speeches, around 40 minutes per course for a group of 70 guests. Add in some speeches and a little margin, then you could estimate around 2.5 – 3 hours for a dinner.
Is table service available?
We offer table service for starters. There is an additional cost for table service for the main course.
Is there disabled access?
There is a wheelchair ramp in the dining area and there is a disabled toilet by the Farmshop.
Can we bring our own drinks?
No, under the Swedish Alcohol Act, you are not permitted to bring alcohol to a restaurant.
What is the procedure for special diets?
Let us know at least two weeks in advance about all guests’ special dietary requirements/allergies. Our experienced chefs will ensure that everyone’s needs are met.
When can we gain access to the premises?
The guests can access the dining room at 7pm at the earliest.
Access from 6.20pm to set the tables etc. If you are providing your own technical equipment, which needs to be set up, you are welcome to start setting up at 5pm when the café closes. The earliest start for wedding ceremonies and welcome drinks is 5.30pm.
Do you arrange the place cards at the tables?
No, we do not do your table seating. You can lay out the place cards in the arrangement you have chosen for the tables around 1 hour before the guests arrive for dinner.
This is not included in our regular prices. We have a set menu but reserve the right to change the vegetable to one of the best from our garden on the day. If you would like to book a sample menu tasting separately then this can be arranged for a fee, please see the price list.
We do not have any technical equipment but can assist you in renting from a third party. See the accompanying description of premises for access to electricity.
What is the best way to get to Rosendal? By car, public transport?
At the weekends the barriers are closed on Djurgårdsbron (Djurgården Bridge) between 11am and 5pm so you cannot come by car although taxis and buses are allowed access.
If using public transport, you can take tram number 7 from T-Centralen to Bellmansro or take a 15-minute walk from Djurgårdsbron (Djurgården Bridge). If you would like to travel by boat, you can take it to Allmänna grand at Gröna Lund/Skansen and then walk about 15-20 minutes.
You can bring your dog to Rosendal.
Is there somewhere to get ready beforehand?
All those getting married have access to our little Aviary which is located in the garden beside the ceremony space. You should however be ready when you arrive as there is no bathroom here.
Do you have a photographer?
What happens in the event of bad weather?
We always make 2 plans and the maître d′ decides on the morning which is to be chosen.
What drinks do you have in the bar?
3 different Garden Cocktails. We use only Swedish spirits and make syrup from various garden favourites for great drinks with a taste of the garden. We always have G&T on the list.
Can we hang things in the trees?
Our apple trees are very old and you are not permitted to hang things in the trees.
How long can we stay?
For the stated price, Rosendals Garden remains open until 1am and it is possible to extend this to 2am.
Can we take our own decorations?
All flowers for the locations must come from our florists. You may bring other decorations as long as they are within the confines of what is allowed – see Terms and Conditions for Bookings
We set up a gift table beside the ceremony area, which we then move up to the reception area.
Food for photographer/band?
